Quality Checklist

Where: Production → Quality Checklist (or click Run QC on a Testing card in the Kanban).

The pre-dispatch inspection. A pass moves the job to Ready for Dispatch; a fail sends it back for rework.

Running an inspection

  1. Choose the job. The dropdown lists jobs currently in production (tick "Include passed / ready" to re-open jobs that already passed). If the job has been inspected before, its last report loads automatically — you edit and re-submit rather than starting blank.
  2. Pick the checklist mode:
    • Standard (10 checks) — bus-bar torque, cable dressing, earth continuity, incoming protection rating, panel labelling, MCB/MCCB ratings vs BOM, metering calibration, loose connections, dimensions vs drawing, wiring diagram inside the door.
    • Custom — build your own list, either typed or from one-click suggestions (IP rating, door interlock, phase sequence, cable glands, ferrule numbering, IR test, HV test, relay function, indication lamps, emergency stop, paint/finish, nameplate, busbar clearance…).
  3. Tick each check as you verify it and add Remarks (defects noted, inspector comments).
  4. Choose the result and click Submit QC Report:

PassedJob moves straight to Ready for Dispatch. Only selectable once every check is ticked.
Rework RequiredJob is marked QC Failed — push it back with Rework on the Kanban.
FailedSame — job marked QC Failed for rework.

Good to know

  • You can't pass a job with unticked checks. If any check is left open, the result is treated as Rework Required.
  • Every submission is a new inspection record — history is kept, so re-inspections after rework don't overwrite the failed report.
  • After a fail: Kanban → Rework (job returns to In Progress) → fix → advance back to Testing → Run QC again. Your previous ticks and remarks will be pre-loaded.
