Creating a customerโ€‹

Click New Customer โ€” only the Company Name is required; email, phone, GSTIN, city and state are optional but worth filling:

  • Email โ€” without it, quotations/invoices can't be emailed and the Collections and Follow-up agents can't chase this customer.
  • GSTIN โ€” needed for clean B2B GST records; missing GSTINs surface as findings in the GST Agent.
  • State โ€” determines whether sales are taxed CGST+SGST (intra-state) or IGST (inter-state).

Viewing a customerโ€‹

View opens the detail panel: contact details, commercial terms (payment terms, credit limit), plus Contacts and Sites tabs listing the people and delivery locations on record. A Sync to Zoho button appears for admins when Zoho Books is connected.

Exportโ€‹

Export downloads the current page as CSV (name, code, contact details, GSTIN, PAN, credit limit, terms, status).

Leads become customers automatically

Converting a CRM lead to a quotation creates the customer from the lead's company/contact details if one doesn't exist yet โ€” so cold outreach doesn't require data entry up front.
