Quote Studio
Where: Sales → Quote Studio · Needs the CRM and AI Suite modules.
The AI enquiry inbox. Capture what a customer sent — an email, a WhatsApp photo of a panel, or a drawing — press one button, and the Quotation Drafting Agent works out what's being asked for, builds the parts list, prices it from your catalog, and hands you a draft quotation. It never sends anything on its own.

Capturing an enquiry
- Click New enquiry and pick the input type:
- Text — paste the enquiry, e.g. "4P 100A MCCB incomer, 8-way distribution, 8× 32A MCB outgoing, IP54 enclosure".
- Photo — upload panel photo(s).
- Drawing — pick a drawing already uploaded in the Drawing Manager.
- Optionally attach an existing customer, or enter prospect details (company, contact name/email/phone).
- Add drafting hints: preferred brand (e.g. L&T), margin % (default 25), enclosure dimensions.
- Set the source (Email, WhatsApp, Phone, Website, Walk-in, Referral) and save.
Drafting the quote
Open the enquiry and click Draft quotation. Behind the scenes the agent:
- Extracts the components (from text, photo vision, or drawing analysis).
- Builds a draft BOM, matching every component to a real product in your catalog.
- Costs it — components + fabrication + wiring + labour + overhead + your margin.
- Creates a draft quotation with product lines plus labour/fabrication/wiring/testing/margin lines.
You'll see a green "DRAFT quotation ready" card with the quote number, estimated total, and an Open quotation button — plus, when relevant, an amber warning: "N line(s) need a product/price before sending".
Reviewing and sending
- Click Open quotation — the draft opens in the normal Quotations editor.
- Fix any ₹0 placeholder lines (components that didn't match a catalog product). The missing-price guard will block/warn on print and email until you do.
- Confirm and send exactly like any other quotation.
Statuses & re-drafting
Enquiries flow New → Drafting → Drafted → Quoted (plus Dismissed and Failed). Re-draft freely — each attempt is recorded in the enquiry's drafting history with its credits used; a failed run refunds its credits and stays re-draftable.
Tips
- The more specific the enquiry, the better the BOM — panel type, incomer rating, feeder count and rating, enclosure, preferred brand.
- Attach the customer before drafting — the quotation step needs one.
- Drawings must be registered in the Drawing Manager first.
- You can also draft quotes from the AI Chat Assistant — chat proposals land here with the same audit trail after you confirm.
